The Jennifer McCue Photography website was developed based on very specific input from the client with regards to layout, colours and look and feel. Since she already had experience in maintaining a WordPress blog, we both felt that using WordPress for the entire website would make everything easier to both set up and maintain.

Choosing the right WordPress theme to showcase Jennifer’s gorgeous photography and display her existing blog entries was a vitally important aspect of the design process. After evaluating several options, Jennifer decided on the Minimatica theme from One Designs. I then customised the colours and fonts to fit her existing branding, and included several key custom features such as the photo galleries and client-only area allowing her clients to view their photographs online before choosing their favourites to order. I also merged in her existing blog content and optimised her website to rank more highly in search engines, which was a key requirement as her old website was failing to do this. Finally, I included Facebook and social media integration in the form of icons and a feed box on the About page and her custom new website has been launched to the public.
